Have you ever felt unseen or misunderstood? Or have you experienced the powerful difference when someone seeks to truly know you?
In our churches, it’s easy to gravitate toward those who are just like us. But the gospel calls us to something greater—to love, welcome, and pursue people from different backgrounds with the heart of Christ.
Join us for our upcoming Equip event, where Dr. Jenn Chen will share how we can care well for people in our churches and communities who come from diverse cultural backgrounds. Through her personal story of growing up as a minority, she’ll provide insight and practical tools for building meaningful relationships with people who see the world differently.
Come be encouraged, challenged, and equipped to love others more deeply. You won’t want to miss it.
About Jenn Chen: Dr. Chen has taught biblical counseling at many seminaries and universities. With a Psy.D in Clinical Psychology and an MA in Marriage and Family Therapy, she was formally trained in psychotherapeutic evidence-based practices and held a faculty appointment as a clinical instructor at UCLA. But after a life-changing encounter with biblical counseling, she returned to school for her MABC at the Masters University and now practices biblical counseling.
*The first 50 paid registrants will receive a free copy of Jenn Chen's new book Biblical Counseling and Mental Disorder Diagnosis: Critical Issues in Biblical Counseling.
